Prof. Dr. Mustafa Çeliktaş

Prof. Dr. Çeliktaş was born in Adana. After completing his primary and secondary education, he graduated from Sabancı Textile Vocational High School. He then graduated from Çukurova University Faculty of Medicine and completed his residency in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the same university.

He completed his mandatory service in Diyarbakır. He began working at the Private Orthopedics Hospital in 2010. During this time, in addition to providing medical services, he also prepared scientific publications required for academic advancement.

In 2012, he received the Orthopedics Proficiency Exam Certificate of Achievement from the Turkish Orthopedics and Traumatology Association (TOTBİD), of which he is a member. In 2014, he successfully passed written and oral exams and was awarded the title of Associate Professor of Orthopedics and Traumatology. In the same year, he passed the European Orthopedics and Traumatology Qualification Exam in Vienna, Austria, and earned the title of FEBOT (Fellow of the European Board of Orthopedics and Traumatology).

In 2019, he was awarded the title of Professor at the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology at İstinye University (Istanbul).

Prof. Dr. Çeliktaş has been actively involved in various associations throughout his professional career. The associations he is a member of include TOTBİD (Turkish Orthopaedics and Traumatology Association), Turkish ASAMİ (Extremity Lengthening and Reconstruction Association), TOD (Turkish Spine Association), Eurospine, AOSpine, and TOTEK (Turkish Orthopaedics and Traumatology Education Council).

He has worked and participated in surgeries at the National Spine Center abroad with an AO Spine scholarship in the field of spinal surgery. He served on the board of directors of the Turkish ASAMI Association from 2019 to 2021 and as its secretary general from 2023 to 2025. Since 2025, he has been the chairman of the association's board of directors.

Prof. Dr. Çeliktaş's special areas of interest include spinal disorders (scoliosis, kyphosis, problems associated with aging spine) and deformity surgery (limb lengthening, leg length discrepancies, leg deformities, treatment of non-union fractures).
